High School SUmmer School
Summer School priority application period is March 1 - March 18. Applications submitted after March 18 will continue to be taken and placed if space is available.
Completion of this application does not guarantee placement in a summer school class. Classes are limited and students in need of credit recovery will have first priority. Student course placement can be confirmed in the Aeries Student Portal by April 15, 2022.
Students are encouraged to review all class offerings BEFORE submitting this application. Classes meeting at La Puente HS, Los Altos HS, Wilson HS, and Workman HS will be IN PERSON. Students in need of an Independent Study VIRTUAL option should select Virtual Academy.
Students are encouraged to select classes listed at their school of attendance for next year (unless the virtual option is preferred). Each school will fill classes with their current students first, then open available space to other district students.
Session/Semester 1 classes: May 23 - June 9
Class Time: 7:30am - 1:05pm (includes a 20 minute break)
Week 1: Monday - Thursday
Week 2: Tuesday - Friday
Week 3: Monday - Thursday
Session/Semester 2 classes: June 13 - June 30
Class Time: 7:30am - 1:05pm (includes a 20 minute break)
Week 4: Monday - Thursday
Week 5: Tuesday - Thursday
Week 6: Monday - Thursday
**** Students enrolled in Virtual Academy classes will be assigned a DAILY check-in time lasting 10-20 minutes and a longer WEEKLY check in of about 60 minutes. Check-in times will vary, but will occur during the above days and times. This option is entirely asynchronous with limited teacher support and must be completed independently.
